So we created this handy guide to help you learn how to dress your body shape and play up your most favorite features with styles you have (or should have) in your closet. So now as we know what is the type of body shape let's see how to style according to it.

Basically their are five type of body shape :

1.Apple shaped or Round body shape 
2.Regtangle Body shape 
3.Hourglass shape
4.Inverted triangle shape
5.Pear shaped or triangle shape 
Let's find them individually:

1. Apple shaped or Round body shape :


 They typically have larger bust,narrow hips and full midsection. 
In this type the upper body appears to be heavy and it has little to no waist defination.
In order to balance out ,choose clothes that add curves and fullness to the lower body.
To de-emphasize the midsection choose tops that adds or create a more defined waist.
let's talk about how to style them: 
Tops ,shirts and tshirts:

Opt for tops that wrap around your waist line and flare at the hip.
Avoid body hugging tops or fitting tops
Avoid tucking your tops in your bottom and make sure it is long enough to cover the tummy,preferably it should end below the hip line this would make your torso look bigger.
Use tops with diagonal line ,big prints and texture.

Sleeves:
Basically apple shaped body should opt for loose or flaring sleeves to balance.

Avoid fitted sleeves as it gives heavy look.

Necklines:
They should opt for low and wide necklines in order to take attention away from the fuller midsection to create a visual separation between bust and tummy.

Their body shaped is characterized by equal bust ,waist and hip measurements.
They are not particularly curvy the waist is not well defined and the bottom is flat.

Adding volume to the shoulder bust and hip line while at the same pulling in the waist.

4.Inverted triangle body shaped :



It is characterised by broad shoulder and /or bust that narrow down to the hips.
The goal for dressing this shape is to balance the broader shoulders,chest and back with the narrower lower body.
This is achieved by choosing clothes that add curves to the hips and bottom while creating a more defined waist and de-emphasize the upper body. 
Tops ,shirts and tshirts:
Emphasis the waist and play down the upper body and broad shoulders. 
To add volume to the hip area ,look for shirts that flare from the waist to the hips.

Tops should extend past the hip-line to take away attention from the shoulder. 
Opt for shirt in darker colours than your bottoms and keep shirts collar less or with very small collars.
Avoid cropped shirts that end at the waist.

Sleeves:
Sleeves should make the upper body appear slimmer. 
For short sleeves: Opt for tight-fisted,tapered sleeves to avoid adding weight to your shoulders.
For longer sleeves: Opt for soft sleeves that flare such as raglans, kimono or dolman sleeves. 
Choose wide strapes over thin straps as the latter will make the shoulder look wider and bigger.
Neckline:

Avoid off shoulder,straight or square neckline.
Opt for deep ,narrow,asymmetric,V -neck ,U-neck ,scoop,Halter.
Bottoms or Jean's:
Choose bottoms accentuate and add volume to the bottom and leg line .

Opt for bottom in bright or light colours to draw attention to your legs.
Opt for Jean's with details around hip,bottoms and thigh area.
Avoid skinny Jean's,simple style and darker  colours.

5.Pear or triangle body shape :

They are characterized by large hips which are wide than the bust and shoulder .
Take attention away from the wide hips and to draw it towards the Upper body and defined waist.
Tops,shirts and tshirts :
Fitted and nipped tops help accentuate the waist.
Bright colours,bold patterns details,and embellishments around the bust and shoulders that draw attention towards the Upper body.

Tops should not go beyond the hips as their would make the hips appear even wider.
Opt of either cropped tops that finish at the waist or top that finish at the hip line.
Avoid peplums or ruffles.
Sleeves:

Short sleeves: Opt for wide embellished styles that add volume to the Upper body.
Long sleeves : let the sleeves tapers while the same adding volume to the shoulder area.
Necklines:
Neckline should be wide or short.

Opt for dark denim to avoid drawing attention to the lower body.
